Lexer Music IOSS Compliance and Usage Details

We are IOSS compliant for most countries (see below) within the EU. This means that for order less than a threshold amount (see below) orders will be despatched VAT paid and no additional VAT charges should be charged in the EU receiving country. Also, orders should be received a lot quicker than would otherwise be the case as they should pass straight through customs without the need for a VAT demand to be raised and issued.

The order thresholds to which IOSS applies are as follows:

Bulgaria - 280 LEV
Czechia - 3500 CZK
Denmark - 1000 DNK
Hungary - 55000 HUF
Poland - 600 PLN
Romania - 700 LEU
Sweden - 1500 SEK

For all other EU countries the threshold is 150 Euro.

Note that the threshold is measured against the retail price of the product(s) excluding vat and excluding postage. Please note that if a product price is borderline then we can not guarantee that vat will not be charged on import.

These threshold can be changed from time to time in line with exchange rates or threshold changes.

Please note that if your order is over the country threshold then the following applies:

- If the order can be split into separate orders, each below the threshold, then it is advisable to do that since it will still most likely be less expensive even with the extra postage than paying the vat and admin fee multiple times for multiple packages.

- If the order cannot be split (e.g. for a single product or bundle that costs more than the country threshold) then we will refund the VAT by request after receipt of the package however we will not refund any admin or other fee. This is the only situation where we will refund the vat paid.

As of 1st July 2026 a new charge of 3 euro per HS code has been introduced across the EU. That charge is included in our postage rates so there should be nothing further to pay in that regard for most EU countries (see below).

Please note that any other customs charges other than VAT and the 3 euro per HS code will be the responsibility of the buyer to settle since we currently have no way of collecting these upfront.

NB. For orders placed after 1st September 2026 the following countries will not be part of the PDDP system via Royal Mail so customers will need to pay the VAT and other duties to their customs on demand when their package reaches their country. This will not be refundable via Lexer Music. These countries are: Belgium, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovenia.
