‘Brand New Lover’ is the first single to have been released from Dead Or Alive’s 1986 CBS Records album, “Mad, Bad and Dangerous To Know”, which was also produced by the then globetrotting hit making production team, Stock Aitken Waterman.

This Limited Edition 6-Track 12” Translucent Blue colour vinyl single cut at 331/3 rpm, launches the parent album’s 40th anniversary celebrations.

‘Brand New Lover’ was released in September 1986, becoming the Band’s sixth Top 40 hit on the UK Singles chart staying in the chart for a month.

‘Brand New Lover’ soared internationally, reaching #2 on the Japanese singles chart, as well as the #1 spot on the US Billboard chart’s Hot Dance Club Play AND the 12-inch Singles Sales. The single also reached #15 on the Hot 100 Singles Chart.

The single reached the Top 20 in New Zealand and South Africa and #21 in Australia, as well as being a popular hit in Scandinavia with a #6 Singles Chart position in Finland.
