Portion Control might not be a familiar name to many, but their influence on other artists since their inception in the 80’s has been great – Nine Inch Nail, Orbital, Skinny Puppy and Front Line Assembly are among a huge array of acts to acknowledge Portion Control as an inspiration, and the extensive touring they did with Depeche Mode and Blancmange undoubtedly left a mark too.

PC: sometimes atmospheric, occasionally challenging, often danceable, but always melodic and innovative.

Wellcome (2002): 2CD set featuring a blend of atmospheric and vocal tracks includes live favourite “Blind Eyes” and the roots of the legendary “Onion Jack” material
Violently Alive (2010): an exercise in exhilarating hard beats, pulsing basslines propelling strong tunes. The album includes the 1 million times streamed song “Amnesia” among its 13 tracks
Dissolve Plus (2022): contains the 11 tracks from the original “Dissolve” release (2004) on a CD that would literally expire 66 days after first being played (see what we meant about challenging), and therefore became the stuff of myth. Joining them are a further 10 rarities provider a broader window onto PC’s inimitable soundscape
